Night to Shine

Night to Shine is a complimentary event for people with special needs hosted by local churches around the world. The event is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older. Each event is unique to its location, but some cornerstone activities included across all of them are a red carpet entrance complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi, hair and makeup stations, shoeshines, limousine rides, karaoke, gifts, a catered dinner, a Sensory Room, a Respite Room for parents and caregivers, dancing, and a crowning ceremony where every guest is honored as a King or a Queen - the way God sees them each and every day.

Night to Shine requires the help of thousands of volunteers across the globe and is a wonderful way to connect with and serve your community of people with special needs! From serving as a guest's buddy or member of the red carpet paparazzi, to keeping the enthusiasm up on the dance floor or serving food, there is something for everyone.

We are still looking for 30 more volunteers — and 21 of those spots are for Buddies, who walk alongside and support our Honorees throughout the evening. This is one of the most meaningful and joy-filled roles of the whole night. If you are willing to be a Buddy — or if you know someone who would be great in this role — we would love for you to sign up or personally invite them to serve.

We totally understand if you cannot commit for the whole evening, but if you have even 30 minutes that Friday night, we would love for you to join our Red Carpet Team. Help us pack the carpet with a huge, cheering crowd to welcome our Honorees as they arrive! And if you can’t attend in person this year, we would deeply appreciate your prayers — for our honorees, volunteers, caregivers, and for the love of Jesus to be felt in every moment of the night.
